Within 12 months of qualifying and having your name entered on the ‘Register of Approved Driving Instructors' you will have to take a check test.
A DSA examiner will sit in the back of your car and assess your performance while you give a ‘live' lesson.
Your grade will determine how frequently you will be ‘check tested' - (2 - 4 years). You will be given only 3 opportunities to prove your grade.
If you do not meet the required standards you will lose your licence and have to
re-qualify through all of the DSA examinations again.
Failure at the check test and any of the other examinations, is absolutely unnecessary. Failure is completely avoidable with the correct training and ongoing help and advice.
